Buddy Case Study
Buddy is a web based, self-hosted, website and app builder software, streamlining the coding process for Git developers. It can be used to test and deploy applications with code from GitHub, Bitbucket and GitLab. Buddy is available for open-source, cloud and on-premise use with a freemium for 5 project maximum use.
The Buddy team called Zammo to drive free trial signups. The freemium leads would eventually become paid subscribers. The plan was to use Facebook ads as a cost-effective customer acquisition channel.
What We Did:
- Optimized International campaigns into Campaign Tiers or buckets
- Tested dozens of new image and video ads
- Implemented an effective retargeting strategy
Our results with Buddy were some of the most impressive as we acquired hundreds of new trial signups each month with dozens of new monthly paid customers. We also reached a Cost Per Acquisition of 32% below target cost for paid customer subscriptions.We were 55% below target for trial signups as well.
